Since 1982, Eric Astoul has undertaken a search for expression through turned or modeled volumes. The work on clay and the materials of the pieces are rich from the conduct of cooking with wood in his large recumbent oven. He seeks harmony between an expressive sculptural form and its mineral epidermis.
