Ivorian designer, cabinetmaker and sculptor, Jean Servais Somian navigates between Paris, Abidjan, which houses his carpentry and cabinetmaking workshop, and Grand Bassam where his showroom is located. By working with precious woods (coconut palm, amazaque, ebony), he goes off the beaten tracks to deliver his interpretation of a functional design.
